CHF International believes in the Power of Partnerships. Together, with the private sector, we are forging new models for economic and business development. We are maximizing our shared strategic visions to enhance the long-term objectives of our business partners, while fostering social stability, enduring growth, and local economic development.

For the private sector, a strategic partnership with an international development organization like CHF International:

  • leads to an improved reputation through social investment;
  • empowers a workforce and consumer base that is healthy, educated, has adequate housing, and is economically stable;
  • leverages greater efficiency through local content investment and supply chain management;
  • promotes development in creative ways, while helping the corporation meet its bottom line;
  • creates a positive and hopeful economic future for young people which promotes peace and stability; and through all these,
  • enhances new market development and long-term profitability for our strategic partners.

With programming in 30 countries—and new initiatives burgeoning every day—CHF International is well poised to match corporate social responsibility investments with the business objectives of each of our corporate partners.

A look at some of our successful partnerships:

  • Bridging Distances: CHF International’s strategic partnership with Dell Computers is facilitating our staff to work in rural areas, and improving the lives of our beneficiaries by providing them with access to information, connecting them to markets and services, and helping them expand their businesses. In addition, CHF’s partnership with Inmarsat and I-LINX is leveraging cutting-edge satellite technology services for our global operations. Find out more about CHF and Dell...

  • Rebuilding Lives: In the aftermath of the December 2004 tsunami, strategic partnerships enabled CHF to ensure a larger impact than bilateral assistance would have alone. With the support of the AIG Disaster Relief Fund, Briggs & Stratton, and DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary, among others, CHF International leveraged our private-sector partners’ contributions for a threefold investment in the region and quickly began implementing a range of programs to restart vital income-generating activities that complemented funding for housing projects provided by the United States government. • Improving Economic Conditions: CHF International is also a leading implementer of microfinance programs, designing and delivering a variety of financial services in developing and transitional countries around the world. Our flexible and sustainable approaches to microfinance fit the local context, from initiatives that are providing housing loans to low-income maquiladora workers in northern Mexico and programs that are strengthening business associations in Romania, to partnerships with commercial banks in the delivery of microfinance services across the Middle East. Our key partners include: Johnson & Johnson, Cummins Engine Corporation, the Arab Bank, the Bank of Jordan, the Jammal Trust Bank, Credit Libanais, Canada Bank of Lebanon, Eaton Corporation, and the Alcoa Foundation.
